'Get a Crime Update' (formerly known as Local Crime Tracker) is an online service provided by West Yorkshire Police that allows you to quickly and easily check the status of a previously reported crime - it allows you to keep updated with the status of your crime, view details of the officer in the case and contact the officer if you require an update.
Thursday 18 May 2023 Two teenagers who stabbed a Huddersfield schoolboy to death in a broad daylight attack near his school have been jailed for life.
Founded in 1883, the Christian Police Association (CPA) is a national organisation and has links with similar groups across the world and depends on charitable giving to sustain it. Membership is open to all staff in the police service who profess a personal Christian faith.

Wednesday, 7 November, 2023 Police in Leeds have launched a murder investigation after a teenage boy died following a stabbing.  Officers were called to the Town Street area in Horsforth at 2.57pm today after a report a teenager had been assaulted and seriously injured. 
Thursday, 21 December 2023 Two teenagers have been sentenced to life in prison after admitting the murder of a teenage male in a brutal attack in Huddersfield.

Our Volunteer Police Chaplains are here to support all Officers, Staff, Volunteers and also their families irrespective of their faith or belief or if someone is of no faith. Chaplains are drawn from different faith communities and are therefore people of faith, this informs what they do.

Across the country, people from all faiths and backgrounds are standing together to tackle terrorism. By making sure we each know how to recognise the signs and know what action to take, we can work together to prevent acts of terrorism.
Tuesday, 27 February, 2024Police are appealing for information to help locate two teenagers who have been reported missing from the Wakefield area. Chloe Cahill and Hollie Hewlett, are both aged 16.  
"West Yorkshire Community Alert" enables members of the public to keep in touch with local police updates. Public registration is free and people can choose to receive news and appeals, local crime information and/or prevention advice direct via email, text or voice message.
West Yorkshire Police launched a Police Race Action Plan in November 2023. It is a plan to improve policing for Black people in West Yorkshire.
