Tuesday 21 November 2023 Police are appealing for witnesses after a multi-vehicle collision on the M62.  Officers were called at around 9.45pm on Sunday 19 November to a collision on the eastbound carriageway just prior to Junction 25 for Brighouse.

As part of a dedicated team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the correct Police response is allocated to jobs that come in via our call handlers. This can be an emergency-based response or one that requires slower time handling, in either case your responsibility will be to assess risk and come up with a solution. You will be responsible for identifying and assessing risk and making resolution and deployment decisions using a range of systems. You will also allocate resources to incidents and support them in any radio transmissions.
The Force Planning Unit is a specialist department within the Protective Services Operations Division based at Carr Gate, Wakefield. Its role is to deal with all aspects of emergency planning both planned & spontaneous and to manage the logistical requirements of the Force in relation to all major, operational events and contingencies.
