Family Tribute to 'Loving Wife, Sister and Mother Who Loved Life' As Police Appeal For Witnesses to Fatal Heckmondwike RTC

Police investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Heckmondwike have released the name of the woman who died.
Carol Andrew, who was 69 and from the area, was in collision with a grey Seat Leon as she crossed White Lee Road at about 7.50pm on Wednesday, 21 July.
The Major Collision Enquiry Team is investigating the collision and is continuing to appeal for information that may assist their investigation.
A 29-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Following the release of her identity today Carol’s family have also issued a short statement.
It reads: “Carol was a loving wife, sister, and mother who loved life. She was also a nana and great nana and loved her family dearly.
“She was the glue that held us all together and we are all devastated by her premature passing.”
