Appeal for Witnesses Following Incident in Sowerby Bridge, Calderdale

Police investigating an incident whereby a teenage girl was threatened in Sowerby Bridge are appealing for witnesses. 

The incident occurred on Tuesday 24th May at around 4.30pm at the bus stop opposite the B & M on Wharf Street. 

The victim was waiting for a bus inside the bus shelter when two males approached her, threatened her with a bladed article and took her phone. 

The victim managed to retrieve her phone but is understandably shaken by the incident. 

The suspects then crossed the road to B&M and walked up the main street with a number of other youths. 

The suspects are described as white male, in their early teens, one with short brown hair and one with short blonde hair. 

Both suspects were believed to be wearing dark tracksuits. 

It is believed there may have been people at the bus stop at the time of the incident who may have valuable information which may assist.
