Appeal: Assault Commercial Street, Halifax

Police are appealing for information about an assault in Halifax town centre.

It happened in Commercial Street at about 10pm on Sunday, 30 August. 

The victim, a man in his thirties, was punched in the head and fell to the ground.

It is alleged that five males were involved in the incident. Three were said to have made off on foot and the other two were believed to have got into a black Volkswagen Golf.

The victim suffered a fractured skull, which is thought to have been the result of him falling after being hit.
