Appeal: Arson Offence, Knottingley, Wakefield

Police investigating an incident where the front door of a house was set on fire in Knottingley are appealing for witnesses.

The incident happened at around 9pm on Saturday 17 October 2020, at a house on Windermere Drive, Warwick Estate.

The occupants were home at the time of the incident, but no injuries were reported.

Enquiries have now identified two people, a man and a woman, that officers are keen to speak to in connection with the offence.

The male suspect is described as white, late teens/early twenties, slim build, 5ft7-5ft10 with short dark hair.

The female suspect is described as white, early twenties, medium build, brown hair tied up in a bun and was believed to be wearing a long light-coloured cardigan.

It is believed that the suspects were picked up by a dark coloured 4x4 type vehicle shortly after the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the offence or may have information that will assist in the investigation is urged to get in contact.
