Salary £105,600 per annum

I am looking for an Assistant Chief Officer to further enhance West Yorkshire Police's reputation as a progressive organisation deeply committed to the communities we serve and the wellbeing of our staff.  West Yorkshire Police enjoys a position in the vanguard of areas such as digital policing, training and development and collaborative working.  You will work as part of the Chief Officer Team to deliver on the Police and Crime Commissioner's Plan to ensure our communities are safer and feel safer.

Current challenges include the ongoing Government spending review and the financial challenges which are forecast for the organisation over the next few years.  With the public always at the centre of what we do, you will play a key role in enabling West Yorkshire Police to further enhance our stature and reputation locally, regionally and nationally, whilst ensuring we provide an efficient and effective service to our communities.

I am looking for an Assistant Chief Officer who has an engaging leadership style possessing the passion and drive to meet fast paced, highly complex and stimulating policing challenges. 

My Assistant Chief Officer will play a key role in providing professional financial advice and budget management to the Chief Officer Team in support of the Force’s strategic objectives.  They will also advise on Force initiatives to achieve value for money and improved efficiency to ensure that the Force provides best value policing to the communities of West Yorkshire.
