Income and Partnerships

Income and Partnerships Team

The Income and Partnerships Team works with internal stakeholders and external partners to help make West Yorkshire Police a more efficient and effective force.  Made up of Partnership Funding Officers and Income Development Officers, in many cases we are the Single Point of Contact on partnership and income generation activities.

Partnership Funding Officers

The Partnership Funding Officers work at district level and develop and manage relationships with partners.  These include schools, shopping centres and special policing services.  The Partnership Funding Officers support Police Officers, staff and third sector partners to secure funds to deliver the objectives of the Police and Crime Plan.

If you would like to find out more about how you can develop a partnership with West Yorkshire Police please contact the Partnership Funding Team on [email protected]

Income Development Officers

The Income Development Officers work strategically to support the delivery of the police service across West Yorkshire.  Their work involves securing funding and generating income from additional sources.  Funding sources include Home Office and other government funds, whilst income generation looks to develop the unique Intellectual Property and assets of the Police Force.

Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR)

With colleagues in our Commercial Services department, we are using Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to help address some of the issues that feature in the Police and Crime Plan.

The Income Development Team welcome the opportunity to work with partners to develop (CSR) opportunities.  By supporting the work of West Yorkshire Police your business can help to support social and economic issues across the region.  Please contact the Income Development Team for more information.

If your company would like to support our work through sponsoring any of the following:

  • Annual Force Awards
  • Conferences
  • Long Service Medals and dedications
  • Civic Engagement events

Please contact the Income Development Team

Sponsorships will be subject to VAT

Donations and Legacies

Making a donation or gift in your will is a fitting way to acknowledge the dedication to public service of our officer’s staff and animals.

As Section 93 of the Police Act 1996, states “A local policing body may, in connection with the discharge of any of its functions, accept gifts of money, and gifts or loans of other property, on such terms as appear to the authority to be appropriate”.

A donation can be made to support a particular area of our work, such as the Dog or Horse units, or towards general policing purposes.

If you are considering a gift in a will, and after you have thought of family and friends, you might like to leave an amount to West Yorkshire Police.  This could be a:

Pecuniary Gift – This is a specific sum of money that is stated in the will

Residuary Gift - The residue is the remainder of the estate after expenses , taxes and specific gifts have been made.
